The Alberta Legislature
This premier heritage building with its rich history and tradition is a must-see for visitors to Alberta's capital city. Sitting at the gateway of downtown Edmonton, the Alberta Legislature overlooks the river valley and provides visitors with a variety of engaging opportunities including free guided building tours. Visitors can also find arts and craft by Alberta artisans at the Gift Shop, get hands on experience at the Interpretive Centre or spend hours exploring the Legislature's 23 hectares of parkland and interesting monuments. Special events are held year round and include Family Day, Canada Day and Celebrate the Season.

- Seniors\' Week: Special tours are followed by a complimentary fancy tea in the lower rotunda. Participating seniors can enter their names for prize draws. Choose to stay longer to observe session in the afternoon or to enjoy a walk around the grounds.

- Canada Day at the Legislature: Visitors will have the rare opportunity to walk on the Chamber floor, an honour usually reserved for Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. Enjoy free family activities through the day, and fireworks.
